I loaded these Federal Power-Shok 482 Grain Sabot Slugs in brand new 3.5 Cheddite Straight Walled Hulls, Cheddite CX2000 209 Primers, 48 Grains of Military Exclusive Proprietary Smokeless Powder, 1 Thin Overshot Card, 1 BRP-12 Gas Seal/Brush Wad, 2 Waxed 1/8 Nitro Cards, 1 Thin . 70 Caliber Aluminum Disk, then the 482 Grain Power Shok Sabot Slug, followed with a Nick Ross 4-Pin Roll Crimp. Muzzle Velocity is 1750 fps with a 12,900 PSI from a 12GA 3.5 Chamber Custom Thick Walled Heavy Contour 24 Fully Rifled Barrel. Test results are 4 Piece Fragmentation at 50 yards each chunk weighs around 85-100 grains penetration depth of 14 inches, a beautiful perfectly 1.25 Mushroom at 100 yards recovered weight 385-408 Grains penetration depth 17 inches in Calibrated Organic 10% Ballistic Gelatin utilizing the IWBA 4 Layer Heavy Denim Test Protocol The TWC Temporary Wound Cavities exceeded the elasticity of the organic gelatin. Actual Field use on 500+ lb Wild Boar using broadside high shoulder shots and frontal neck shot thru upper chest shield from ranges of 65-85 yards, .50 Caliber Entrance Wounds followed by shattered bones and vitals turned to mush, exit wounds softball sized. No tracking needed bang flop dead on the spot, but left a pool of blood on the offside exit wound. Im not sure how well these work at factory velocity of 1450-1500 fps, but when pushed to 1750 fps Id put these an entire level above any of the 300 grain 2000 fps solid copper sabot rounds. With the performance Ive witnessed first-hand they will drop any North America game animal in its tracks within 100 yards including Moose, Elk, and Large Bears but proper shot placement is essential to success!! Will definitely order more as needed, 3.5 SuperMag Power Shok Sabot Slugs are definitely in a league of their own at this velocity... I almost forgot Accuracy Test Results 50 Yards 1 3/4 3 Shot group, and 3.5 group at 100 yards. RECOIL AND MUZZLE BLAST IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART DEFINITELY RECOMMEND A LIMBSAVER OR SIMILAR STYLE RECOIL PAD. Thank you for supporting America and its Armed Forces!!
