32ga special rifled barrel shotgun | 1/24/2023 |
| Picked up and h&r 32ga special about and month ago. has a bead sight and leupold quick detatch scope base with peep sight. Since it has and rifled barrel im loading .500 cast bullets with and roll crimp also from BP. Ive made up a few different loads using 50cal maxi balls and lee .500 fp cast. .429 cast simi wad cutters in a wad and 50cal sabot for black powder guns. Picked up and sig buckmasters scope on sale and got me some rings for the leupold base. Soon as we have and nice weekend im going to take it to the range. Im not expecting amazing results just something different and fun to shoot... | ||

| I’ve got a rifled barrel h&r topper and a smoothbore stevens single shot. Both guns like these hulls, although the h&r sometimes will have cases get stuck in the chamber. You can fold crimp these using a MEC 28ga crimp starter, a 20ga-32ga chamber adapter from little skeeters, and the primer seating station on the lee load all press to final crimp. The adapter will also function as a resizing ring and your final crimp tube. Cut out part of the mid section of the sg32 wad to fit 1/2oz of shot and these with a fold crimp will last at least 6 reloads. | ||
